The El Toro High School Softball Team raised over $6,000 for their team's non-profit booster club. The amount raised was in excess of their program's budget requirement, so they chose to donate some of the proceeds back to the Susan G. Komen breast cancer foundation. Start Fundraising!"El Toro high school girls softball program had extreme success using the RaceRaiser website. We set a goal to raise a combined $6,000 for our program and the event we ran in. Our girls chose to run in the race for the cure to help fight breast cancer. Our program made up an informational flyer describing the event and how a portion of the money would go toward the race for a cure while the rest would help run our program for the upcoming season. The girls then used email/Facebook/Myspace etc. to get the flyer out to people they know. Donations then started to pour in. Once everything was set up it was so easy from our end. We just watched the website raise more and more money. We really believe that if you get your program in a meaningful event people are more than willing to donate money. When the race was all said and done we were able to raise over $6,000.
The race was a great experience for our girls and our program. It is nice for them to experience an event like this that has touched so many lives. Not only did they feel good raising money to support their softball program, but they now understand the feeling to raise money for a worthy cause like finding a cure for Breast Cancer.
Sincerely,
El Toro High School Softball Team
