RACE RAISER, INC. PRIVACY & SECURITY POLICY
1. PRIVACY POLICY.
RACE RAISER respects the privacy of its USERS and does not collect personally identifying information without the USERS' permission. This policy applies to the websites owned or operated by Race Raiser, Inc., a California corporation.
RACE RAISER's website uses a high level of security when online donations are made. RACE RAISER's secure servers work to protect USERS' credit or debit card information. RACE RAISER's website's ecommerce system uses SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption to provide a secure and safe environment for donations. It encrypts all of USERS' personal information, including card number, name and address so that it cannot be read throughout the Internet.
RACE RAISER does not sell, lease or rent USERS' confidential information. RACE RAISER does not disclose personally identifying information to anyone that RACE RAISER is not authorized to do so. By using RACE RAISER's services, USERS agree to authorize RACE RAISER to provide USERS' personally identifying information to the charity or non-profit organization designated by USERS to receive a donation.
When USERS make an online donation, RACE RAISER collects personal information from USERS such as, USERS' name, address, email address, credit or debit card details, including card type, card number and expiration date. RACE RAISER will make USERS' personal information (name, address, email address) available to the charity or non-profit organizations to which USERS have made a donation, but will not make USERS personal information available to non-charities without USERS' consent. RACE RAISER will also make USERS' name available to the fundraiser whose page USER has contributed through. RACE RAISER does not share USERS' credit/debit card information to third parties, with the following exceptions: to the credit card authorization company, when necessary to process a donation made by the USER for a particular charity, and to the charity to which USER has made a donation.
When USERS perform a RACE RAISER donation transaction that requires them to be identified to a non-profit organization, that non-profit, RACE RAISER, and if the transaction involves a credit payment or debit, the credit card processor Electronic Processing exchange are the only parties granted access to that USERS' personal information, which may include, USERS' name, address, email address, accounting details, and amounts donated.
Once RACE RAISER forwards USERS's personal information to the non-profit organizations or charities, RACE RAISER cannot control how these non-profit organizations and charities use this information. If USERS wish to opt out of receiving future communications from the non-profit organization or charity (other than any acknowledgement the charity may provide of your donation), it is USERS' sole responsibility to contact the non-profit organization or charity directly.
RACE RAISER reserves the right to release USERS' information if compelled to do so by proper judicial or governmental authorities, such as a law, regulation, court order, subpoena, search warrant, in the course of a legal proceeding or in response to a law enforcement agency request. Disclosure shall be limited only to those that RACE RAISER is compelled to disclose to.
In the event that RACE RAISER goes through a business transaction, such as a merger with or acquisition by another company, or a sale of all or a portion of its assets, USERS information may be among the assets transferred. RACE RAISER will notify USERS via an update to its Privacy Policy if such transaction results in any change to this policy.
This policy only applies to information collected by the RACE RAISER website. The website may contain links to other websites, such as those of the charities using RACE RAISER's Services. Such sites are not owned or controlled by RACE RAISER, and RACE RAISER is not responsible for their privacy or security practices. USERS are encouraged to review the policies of such other sites before providing personal information to them.
2. SECURITY POLICY.
RACE RAISER uses the latest online security to protect the information USER provides. Both RACE RAISER and its credit card processing partners use industry standard Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology to provide a secure and safe environment for electronic donations. SSL is used by vendors to ensure the security of online business. It negotiates and employs the essential functions of mutual authentication, data encryption and data integrity for secure transactions. It encrypts all of your personal information, including card number, name and address so that it cannot be read as it travels over the Internet.
3. USERS' ACCEPTANCE OF PRIVACY AND SECURITY POLICIES.
USERS acknowledge and agree that USERS' use of RACE RAISER's website and Services indicates USERS acceptance of RACE RAISER's Privacy and Security Policies. If USERS are not satisfied with any aspect of it, USERS are encouraged not to continue to use the website and Services.
RACE RAISER's Privacy and Security Policies may change from time to time, and USERS are deemed to have accepted the then current version each time USERS use the website or RACE RAISER's Services.
